The Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO), in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and ASEAN Foundation has launched the ASEAN JAPAN Generation-Z Leaders Community (AJZLC),  a gathering of ASEAN and Japanese Generation-Z leaders with diverse backgrounds.

AJZLC will provide an opportunity for selected Generation-Z leaders from each country to connect, exchange ideas, and network with peers from ASEAN and Japan, fostering a deeper understanding of community development and solutions to social challenges of these regions.

After participating in the pre-event held in Indonesia and an online session for policy recommendations, AJZLC members will participate in the main ASEAN – Japan Generation-Z Leaders’ Summit in December 2023 held in Karuizawa, Japan; to build relationships with key ASEAN and Japanese government agencies.
